YouTube planning to end non- skippable 30-second ads in 2018


Many times online we are bullied, streaming most
particularly was no longer democratic, your opinion didn’t
necessarily matter as Google was one big predator forcing
spoonful of ads down our throats especially in its
YouTube. You remember those non-skippable 30-second
ads?

Well it seems Google has finally realized how unfair it has
been as it is now planning on putting an end to these non-
skippable ads by next year.

This was revealed in its campaign as a Google
spokesperson revealed that the idea Google would be
punishing now is commercials that more interactive with
the viewer as well as the advertiser at last.
“We’re committed to providing a better ads experience for
users online. As part of that, we’ve decided to stop
supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and
focus instead on formats that work well for both users and
advertisers,” Google said.

Well if you are heaving your relief, don’t heave too heavily
as not all non-skippable are leaving. Videos ads of span of
20 second as well as those of 15 seconds will stay
however. From what we are even analyzing, it is even
possible Google may roll in more of ads of the duration of
6- seconds. Just sad we have to wait till next year to see
these changes. But still patience makes it good news.
